Development Phases

  • Humboldt
  • HIP West
  • HIP North
  • HIP East
  • HIP Northwest

Opened in 1972, this is the original section of Humboldt Industrial Park., well-established section of the park is nearly full, but some vacancies still exist. Current tenants include Amazon.com, The Hershey Company, The Nature's Bounty Co., and American Eagle Outfitters, the largest facility in Humboldt Industrial Park.

By the mid-1990s, CAN DO recognized the need to expand the Humboldt Industrial Park and, in early 1996, started work on a section named Humboldt West. About 300 acres of rail-served industrial property attracted attention from developers from the start and sites were sold quickly. Companies such as Cargill Meat Solutions, PFNonwovens, Michaels Handcrafts and Fex Ed Supply Chain call this section home.

With the success of Humboldt West, CAN DO turned its attention to the undeveloped land just north of the growing park. In the late 1990s, CAN DO began designing and developing Humboldt North, a 400-acre, rail-served tract across State Route 924 from the original Humboldt Park.
Humboldt North's development proved to be a successful venture in CAN DO’s economic development efforts as many manufacturing, food processing and distribution centers have located here. Soon after development, this section started filling up with companies such as AutoZone, Gonnella Frozen Products, Cargill's Cocoa and Chocolate, U.S. Cold Storage and ES Kluft & Company.

In 2003, CAN DO purchased land to the east of Humboldt's initial section. The section of Humboldt has all utilities to the curb. Corrugated Supplies Company and IRIS USA call this section home.

In 2008, approximately 366 acres was acquired by CAN DO. This northwest section of Humboldt has been tentatively subdivided to accommodate larger manufacturing and distribution projects.

Humboldt Infrastructure

  • Water

    Water

CAN DO Inc. supplies quality water throughout the park in 12- and 16-inch ductile iron mains at pressures and flow rates suitable for heavy industrial use.

Fire protection is aided by four 1-million gallon standpipes, which ride on the system.

Humboldt Industrial Park also features an interconnection with the Hazleton City Authority which provides additional water capacity to supplement the current system.

Companies with significant water usage requirements may also connect directly to the Hazleton City Authority which has a larger water system with ample capacity.
